A Colorado native, Lio skipped toddling and went straight from crawling to hiking. He graduated from Regis University in Denver with a BA in Marketing and Management. He prepared for a career in the outdoor industry, supplementing his academic pursuits by exploring his Rocky Mountain backyard and snapping photos whenever he got the chance. As he has honed his photography craft he has been drawn to telling the stories of the quiet weekend warriors. Those who get after it in the outdoors despite the burden of having a full time job. The effort these people put in to get in their adventures is truly inspiring.
